First Response CPR is a private-owned business owned and operated by a licensed paramedic. The goal of First Response CPR is simple: provide proper training in CPR to both non-healthcare professionals and healthcare professionals to save lives. Located in Upstate South Carolina, First Response is able to teach classes across Upstate South Carolina and Western North Carolina. Traveling outside of the Upstate/WNC area may be possible for larger group classes for an additional fee.

First Response CPR offers two classes: Heartsaver, for non-healthcare professionals and BLS for Healthcare Providers. Both classes are provided and certified through the American Heart Association.

First Response CPR is founded/operated by Matt Bishop, a paramedic from Spartanburg, SC. Matt entered EMS in 2017 while attending Wofford College and has worked both non-emergent transport and 911 EMS jobs in Greenville and Spartanburg counties. Matt has a passion for educating others and founded First Response CPR out of a desire to teach life-saving CPR to residents of Upstate SC and Western NC.
